Sustainable constructions has been positioned as one of the most important trends in the home market. I personally consider that this data explain very clearly the new way the market is getting. Average non-sustainable buildings are the same time in the market that green certificated constructions.

LEED, Energy Star, or NGBS certifications are getting more important in a market where buyers consider that sustainable materials and eco-friendly solutions are even important for their own economy as for the environment.

Realtors and Real Estate Agents as educators and supporters

The most of the readers will realize that every new movement or initiative needs agents who educate and support the trend features. With eco-friendly building constructions or sustainable property solutions happen the same and Real Estate Agents in particular, and Realtors in general, are very important members for this mission.

They are in direct contact with the final buyers and it is normal and very frequent that people ask to the Real Estate Agent for the features of the sustainable house they want to acquire: Materials, infrastructure, sustainable solutions, energy efficiency, solar panels or even which green certification own.

In this aspect, the mission of the seller is to be updated and provide enough information and answers to any kind of question that final buyer can have about sustainable methods used or any other kind of doubt they can have.

Why?

There are a plenty of new techniques and solutions raising every day - some of them difficult to understand if you are not a professional in the field - and the customer can feel a little bit lost.

Which kind of energy efficiency or solar panels are the best solution for my monthly consumption? are some of the questions that buyers face when they feel interested for a new house and it has been certificated as Green".

This situation can be very frustrating to the customer if they do not find enough support of easy-access information to answer their doubts, or it can be a perfect opportunity to attract the buyer€™s attention through a good quality counseling.

Of course, a good supporting will report good result to the sustainable market in general, the real estate agent in particular, and of course, the environment which will presume of a good healthy in the new future in case we keep supporting every day sustainable solutions for the future buildings and eco-friendly market.
